Greenville: Growing and Thriving

Greenville is the seat of Greenville County in upstate South Carolina. The population of Greenville and the surrounding area was 400,500 as of 2010, making in the third-largest urban area in South Carolina as well as the fastest growing. Supporting this assertion, national publications such as CNN Money have ranked Greenville as one of the “Top 10 Fastest Growing Cities in the United States” while Bloomberg named Greenville as having the third “Strongest Job Market." In addition, Forbes deemed Greenville as the thirteenth “Best City for Young Professionals.” As the largest city in the Upstate, Greenville offers many activities and attractions. Notable venues include The Warehouse Theatre, which offers productions of live theatre, and the Fluor Field at the West End, the home of the Greenville Drive baseball team. Best of all, Greenville hosts many festivals including Euphoria Greenville, an annual three-day culinary event, Fall for Greenville, a music and food street festival held each fall, and Artisphere, an art festival held each spring.
